I love Icons. I have them on all my Lexi. I agree that OEM fillers are very good, but takes some getting used to on how to replace without getting injured. I think the Icons outlive the OEM fillers. They both have good quality rubber which we all know come from Asia. And they look sweet, too.
I usually get them discounted and sometimes with rebates. Then they become very competitive. They are steep. The OEM’s are now coming out with Hybrid wipers, one piece looking wipers but have the traditional fillers. One thing for sure the quality of the rubber blades have gone up through the years, I am talking about the quality wiper blades.

I bought an extra set of blades from Sewell along with a few sets of inserts. Pop off the old ones, pop on the new ones. Later, I can take my time replacing the inserts on the set I pulled off and I am ready to go for the next exchange.
Why did I not think of this strategy! Makes good sense. It took me a while replacing the inserts on my IS!
Perhaps it is a military thing. Why buy when when you can buy two for twice the price mentality. Perhaps it is from my time at the track when you do not have a part in hand and you had to go out to a spectator's car to pull a part off a production vehicle to get through the night.
I have a number of "just in case" items in my kit stored in the back. Fuses, tire valve caps, wiper inserts, etc.
