I see from reading other posts that some members are able to currently view new RX330s or will be able to soon (particularly towards the East coast). My request is for a kind viewer to measure the maximum distance (front to back) of either side's roof rail from just inside where the front mount touches the roof to just inside where the back end of the rail contacts the roof. In other words, the clear inside distance between the mounting points of the rails on one side. I am interested because I have a 19 foot double kayak that needs wide spaced mounts to be secure. I should be able to obtain Yakima crossbar adapters to fit the stock RX330 rails that will carry crossbars and kayak cradles so the maximum distance apart those crossbars can be slid on the factory rails is critical. This measurement would be very helpful. Unfortunately, I have seen no indications that RX330s will be availble for viewing for some time in the San Francisco bay area, or I would be hot on the trail to get the measurement myself.
