Default Accessory Power (phone) Question

Question: My son and 3 friends are borrowing our RX330 for a roadtrip to BONNAROO. If they run two phone chargers at the same time (cigarette lighter and the accessory lighter-type plug below the center console), will this risk blowing a fuse? Or are they on two different circuits?

Not sure - I have an adapter that has two USB ports (looks nice by the gear shift). My wife and I had both our phones plugged in for a 2k mile trip and never had an issue. One phone ran the music and the other ran navigation, so they were both constantly connected. 05 RX330

I've had 3 plugged in on road trips without any problems.

Believe they are on different circuits. You are good to go.

I doubt that both would blow a single fuse but you can definitely answer this for certain yourself. Look at the specs on the chargers and compare to the fuse(s). Typically, accessory power is fused at 10A. Most smartphones chargers draw 1-2A at most.

I agree with others, for those devices they should be fine. Where you get into trouble are items that draw more. Just for grins show him the fuse box and where the pullers and spares are.
