Car Magazine (UK) has reported that Lexus will unveil a smaller-than-the RX SUV at the end of the year to compete with the Audi Q3 and the BMW X1. I am looking forward to it. The new Rx (2010 on) has become just a tad too big and heavy for my use.
Does anyone have details on the new mini-RX?

 

There are a few posts in the forums about it - it is called the NX, and is rumored to use the same frame as the RAV4. Here's one of them:

There is speculation that it will come in a flavors - a 4-cylinder Turbo, and a Hybrid.

Launch date, and even if it will be available in the US is still uncertain.

I have a first-gen RX300, and the NX is supposed to be about that size. The current RX is a little big for me.
