Question 245/55/18 tires on 8" rims ..will this fit?

As the title states will 245/55/18 tires and 8" rims fit on a 350?

I picked up 8" 18s from GS and considering this tire size as long as they don't rub.

Thanks

Default tires

you are not changing the width only the height so no problem they will fit, I am thinking of going to 255/50/18 only 3/4 of a inch higher

You are changing the width, 245 is the width of the tire in millimetres.

I'm not concerned much with the tire itself, it's more of the combination of the tire and the rim offset. I'm not sure what the difference in offset is between a stock RX 18" and a stock GS 18" which I'll be using.

If the rim offset puts the rim 5mm closer to the body and another 5mm difference from the tire itself, the tire is now 1cm closer to the suspension/well. It's most likely not a problem, I would assume an SUV would have a bit more clearance than a sports car where 1cm might be the difference between rubbing and not.

if your oem rims are 71/2 then you are changing width but I dont think you will have a prob, with 1/2 inch width

Well so much for this idea, I haven't looked at them yet but the shop says they are rubbing on the inside.
