Does Platinum Extended Warranty cover Battery?
It seems the battery in my 09RX350 - bought in 2009 - dies in three years, here in Miami. Does the 3-year extended warranty I plan to buy cover the battery (since the one I have will probably die in 2014)? Thanks!

It is not listed in any of the covered components that I could see, so I am going to say that it is not covered as it is considered a wear item.

If you have the Certified Pre-Owned 3 year/100k mile warranty, it's covered. (RandomTech)
Thank you both. In fact, thinking it over, it would not much affect my decision to buy/not buy the Platinum Extended Warranty. I'll have to see the price that TobyToyota can give me - je was the best price a few years ago. I'm still scratching my head as to whether I should get it at all: RX has 27K miles and no issues. But it can be transferred upon sale (whereas the CPO warranty cannot) and that might allow a better sales price if I decide to sell the car within the extended warranty period, in addition to whatever use I may make of the warranty for a potential claim....
