Adjusted fuel filler door
Noticed awhile back the fuel filler door was not fitting flush to the body like it should. Filled up yesterday and noticed the left edge of the door was rubbing against the inside of the panel.
I was able to pull with both hands and adjust slightly the door so it didn't rub anymore when you fully open the door. Another plus, the fit of the closed door now looks to fit like it should.
I think the spring on the hinge needs some grease, that is why the hinge got out of place, pulling the door open too hard due to lack of lubrication.
Just wanted to post as a heads up, I didn't see any info on a search except for doors that were totally stuck.
Happy motoring!!

Caught your thread while looking for any experiences on the GS forums.... My car had a quarter panel repair after an accident, but I've refueled lots of times since then with no issues....My GS350 seems to have developed this just today.
I think I will try to muscle it a little bit and see if I can get it 'adjusted' just enough so there's no more rubbing.
