Toyota Highlander hitch
Hi Guy`s, I bought a Toyota highlander (OEM) Hitch for my RX. Paid $313.00 with tax from my local Toyota dealer. which is the best deal I`v found so far. My question is, does the Toyota hitch (which is the same hitch as the Lexus) come with the wiring attached to it? Reason I ask is because I already installed the wiring from Sewell Lexus. Worst case scenario is I`ll have to take off the attached wiring, and put on mine. Anyone know?

Yup, your right! I installed it last night. looks factory!! I was surprised how many friggin bolts hold that thing on. It`s around 15 bolts if I counted correctly. Looks much better than an aftermarket hitch too. Even has a location for the trailer wiring, and actually bolts it in place to the hitch. I`m very satisfied.

I will be installing one myself as well, where exactly does the wiring plug into? I see the wiring on the hitch has a rubber boot on it as if it's meant to enter the vehicle somewhere.

If you have the factory tow package, there is a connector under the spare tire/equipment plastic panels. I found great directions for installing my wiring (and diagrams) at eTrailer

It's pretty easy, just take your time with the little 10mm bolts.
