All this time, I thought it was a bad belt!
I have a question, too. If I replace the factory-installed compressor with a new Denso OEM, should I expect that Denso will have completely fixed the bearing issue?

I thought he said it was the clutch, not the bearings. I just hear my compressor running really loud cutting off and on with the heat or air and it causes a vibration to make it more annoying. Any ideas on that? Still clutch? Was there any word if we can DIY on this?

If the A/C clutch on these is anything like the ones on my Subarus, there is a DIY, but I haven't looked at it to see if it's a similar design.
