I have an Rx 350 lexus and I always lock my doors when I am home . Lately every time I go out both the front and back doors are unlocked . Does anyone know what may cause this . no one else in the house to unlock them . Could something in the house be causing them to unlock. Thought I would check here b4 calling service

 

Try leaving your master key in your draw for a week or so to see if the problem peresists. I have had problems with both my car doors and my garage doors opening/locking mysteriously. I have even driven off without my cell phone due to the dashboard indication that my blue tooth was connected. All of these errors I have found to be due to the fact that the radio waves can extend for quite a distance through and around the house.

 

I've had a number of cases where I accidentally clicked buttons on the key while the key was in my pocket. It could be something like that is happening in your case?

As the poster above stated, if you immediately remove the keys from your pocket when you get home and it still happens, that would indicate a problem.

Thanks folks It may be the radio waves . My wife sits by her computer which is by the kitchen window and our car port is just outside the window . It seems to happen if she is using or changing settings on her iphone 4

I do not think i am hitting buttons because the master key is always in another room on the dresser when i am not going in the car. I will play with the cell phone theory
