Default 2006 RX330 43000 Miles What Needs Serviced?

Ok, I'm at 43000 miles and the vehicle is 5.5 years old. I've had the normal oil changes, air filter/cabin filter changes, brake fluid changes and that's about it. Brake pads on all 4 were changed once and are fine at present. I did just order four of Tire Rack's number 1 rated, for RX330, GOODYEAR ASSURANCE COMFORT TREAD tires from DiscountTireDirect (they were $24 cheaper than Tire Rack and Tire Rack refused to meet their price).

What other "real" services should I do, if any? ("Real" versus high markup dealer "inspections" that it's not clear are even done.) My philosophy with cars and health is to do proper maintenance and checks, but don't get carried away because sometimes more is less.

I'll probably keep the vehicle for another 5 years or so at rate of about 10-12K per year...which would put it at 10 years old and 100K miles. I guess I could go longer with continued good maintenance, but truthfully in Pittsburgh with snow/salt/rust, potholes etc...plus just the general feeling of not wanting to drive a very old vehicle...that will probably be it. It's the wifemoble most of the time and she is gonna want something new at that point I'm sure.

The only thing you didn't list is a transmission fluid change. That might be in order for the RX330. Instead of 100K, you might want to sell or trade this vehicle before the expensive 90K service (Timing Belt).

Good point about the 90K. It's so far down the road that I can't really plan either way for that. Anyone else here think a tranny change at this point is good. Like I said, part of me wonders if stirring up the tranny might not create more problems than it solves.

Agree on the tranny (just drain and fill, use Toyota T-IV fluid).

Timing Belt work for the RX330 is not as bad, $ 700 tops. Get Toyota to do it.

You have it covered.
