Hi all,
I just picked up a second-hand 2007 RX400h. I'm loving it thus far but today in rush hour stop-and-go traffic, my traction battery power level went all the way down to a couple of bars (around 20% charge). The level came back up to around 80% pretty quickly after I cleared the traffic and got moving again. However, I was surprised at how quickly the battery level plunged in stop-and-go traffic. I had the radio on, but the volume was quite low. Daytime running lights were on too, but I can't see how any of that could or should affect the battery levels that drastically. Anybody else have a similar experience? Is this normal?
Thanks,
Tubejig

Since this is a feature feature found only on the RX400H, you might want to post this in the "Hybrid Technology Forum".

Air conditioning on? Stop and go traffic drains more power as the electric motors are working to move the vehicle from a stop over and over. If you can get rolling and stay rolling only on electric, you'll find the baterry lasts longer.
