Default Free gas!

I don't know why Sewell decided to get with the program but the clip recall scored me a tank of gas today. Had I even believed a little bit I would have waited two more days cause I had half a tank when I went in!

For those of you waiting for a letter, I never got one just showed up. Got an inspection sticker, clips and new mats, out of there in an hour.

I'm not sure what they did but here's pics.

lol. those clips look identical to the ones in my dad's 2004, which has not had this 'recall' done.

I bought a set of new mats for 20$ at the dealership and it came with a set of clips which were the same as the 'old' ones.

Oh well, you got free fuel at least!

Interesting, thanks for the pics Carver. In spite of the letter I received from Lexus saying that all dealership have parts in stock, mine dealer does not.

It looks like a new lower front panel is used with larger clips with the rear clip at a higher angle. The cut-out at the right front of the mat also appears different. I am not sure if there is any difference on the parts between the RX330 & RX350.

LOL, I wondered why that panel didn't have shoe marks on it.

The set button is for the TPMS system and I believe the off button turns off the power deck lid.
