I did it after the new brakes and the Yokos from the 300. My mechanic checked it after the installs and it needed it. The Falkens I took off were severely cupped.

 

Yeah I have been meaning to just from the Air install and ride height change it's way off haha but looking at the tires it's not bad yet.

 

I'm putting a Magnaflow 14829 on tomorrow (today). I'll shoot a movie.

 

^^ Please do. I am looking into maybe buying a new exhaust soon. TRD and the like are $500+ so if the magnaflow does a good job I might get one as well. I gotta wait to get the kit on though so I know how things will fit. Is it mostly sound or will it have any performance improvements?

 

I had one on the 300 and there was a discernible difference in throttle response, the car was quicker. The sound was not too loud, there are plenty of you tube vids on the 300s but not too many on a 330.

I'm hoping for improved throttle response on the 330, I don't know if I'll get any but like Lexmex said any improvement on flow is worth it.

the only vid I could find with a Magnaflow on a 330 was some guy in Dubai with a custom system so I can honestly say I've never heard a 14829 on a 330.

 

lol wow looking at vids on GS and IS I am really impressed! I would prob hide the logo with a tail pipe cover that WALD sells. But really sounds great. I have a Weapon R intake that helps with response but that's about it. Anything that helps is good.

Shoot I might just order it next week lol! How is it installed? It fits OEM? I will let you be the guinea pig

 

I'll take pictures of the install. They just hack off the old one and weld in the new one. They made custom hangers on the 300, whole thing took half an hour. I posted some pics on the 1 gen forum, search 14829.

I`m thinking about replacing the Muffler under the car with a Turbo muffler. And keep the factory one at the back in place. It should give it a nice tone, with out the ghetto sound.....

 

Shoot well it's happening again. today maybe three or four times. Once on the highway over a kind of swoop hill that came up quick. Grrr I really hope it's not my AWD. Sigh....

So? Yes most are custom. Still it's a 330 with the same magnaflow. I never expected yours to sound like this lol.
