There is NO such thing as a millage warranty on tires sold in Panama. You buy em, you own em, etc. Even getting refund on something still unopened in the package with the sales receipt purchased the same day is almost impossible in most stores and businesses. Once you buy it, it's yours! I had an Interstate battery with a five year warranty on the label go bad a year after I bought it. I took it in with the receipt. I was told they don't honor that in Panama. Frustrating.
That's the way it was in Mexico, too, even though they had a consumer commission that was supposed to enforce warranties, etc. Too much red tape to handle.
Problem fixed. There seemed to be a corroded wire somewhere. Took my friend, a mechanic and an auto electrical guy to trace it down. It was not a fuse like I thought it might be. Cost to repair was $80. Whew!!!! Close call on this one.
Hey! Where do you remember where the issue was? My ls430 has done the exact same thing... my car was jumped and the throttle goes to the floor with the car barely moving....
