Replacing OEM hitch 4-pin connector
I have a factory OEM towing hitch installed on our '05 RX330 and it looks like the 4-pin connector has gone bad and needs replacement. As much as I'd hate to have to replace the entire harness, looking for all options as long as can keep the "factory" look to have the 4pin connector in the same place held by bracket.
Does anyone know if the harness (from the OEM hitch) sold separately?
Any suggestions on what options do I have?

Is it physically mutilated, or just rusty.
You can revive the rusty part by spray.
The cheapest (not necessarily most elegant) solution would be to visit a camping/out-door store and finding a add-on harness and splicing it in. Make sure you solder the joints, grease them up and shrink-tube them.

One of the connectors rusted off on mines
The dealers said they need to change the whole unit at about $400.
Decided to try to fix it myself as the weather gets warmer.
But will try the Suggestion.

nothing obvious, just one of the pins has bad connection when hooked up to a trailer. Will spray to revive first but was wondering about your recommended method. If I understand correctly, this would involve cutting out and removing the existing connector, and replacing it with a new connector? since existing connector is mounted in a bracket, could the new one mounted the same way?

the problem seemed that the trailer did not have auxilliary lights but had stop and turn signals. I ruled out the trailer's harness because everything worked fine when connected to another vehicle's 4pin connector. Today, I removed the bracket from OEM hitch 4pin connector, cut into wires behind the connector, and measured the voltage on each of the wires. The weird thing was that the brown wire, responsible for auxilliary lights, still had 6-7 volts even when car's lights were turned off. For some reason thinking the problem could be in the OEM hitch harness....hoping it is nothing major.
