Question 2007 RX 350 Engine Knock

Does anyone have a service bulletin on the problem with the 3.5L cold start engine knocking? I have brought the vehicle in for service and they tell me the noise is normal (The nature of the beast) If I had known about this I probably would have not purchased the car.It is pre-owned 2007 certified. I have searched the WEB and found a service bulletin EG019-07 for IS 350 engines 2006 and 2007 but not sure it applies to my vehicle?
Looking through the details it is Cam Shaft replacement?

On my 06 Subaru I had an engine bearing knock every morning on a cold start. After changing from a Fram oil filter to a Wix....I never had a problem after that. Does yours sound like a bearing knock?

Good lead in on the above post. What oil do you use? 5W30? Knock perhaps means oil is not getting to certain locations on time. After warm up everything's fine on a re-start?

There are knock sensors on the block. If it was a true ignition based knock, you would get a CEL.

can this be a bad lifter that's making a knock noise. Also, this might be a long shot, but a bad ignition tube (if you want to call it that) that connect to your spark plug can ark to the block causing it to sound like a knock. We had a toyota Sienna recently with this and and man that was a mother to figure out. sounded like the motor was blown.

^^ I attributed the clicking noise at first start in morning to lifters getting primed up, till some one made the correction that there are no lifters in the RX engine.
