Default Liftgate button

The rubber button on the outside of the liftgate is melted and deformed. Does anyone have any experience replacing this part? Dealer quoted me 200 bucks, but my dealer is 100 miles away and wanting to DIY if possible. Any help would be great.

Did you guys check prices with one of our forum vendors (Carson or Sewell)? They might be cheaper. I'm guessing this piece is held on with some nuts/screws and would require removal of the rear liftgate panel. Be sure to take pictures and let us know how it goes.

I don't know, but we have 2 more RX's in the family 1&2 years older and they are fine. The one with the problem is a 2008
