I am new - hope I am posting correctly.

I bought a brand new RX 350 in July 2008 and it has always pulled to the right.

This is especially noticable on the highway and if I did not correct the car, it would be off the road in approximately 100 yards. I have to pull down on the steering wheel with my left hand to keep it in a straight line.

The dealer has checked all specks for the steering as well as switched the tires side to side and back to front.

They say they can't do anything else as they don't want to set the steering out of specs.

The tires are Michelin LX4 tires.

Has anyone had a similar problem or any suggestions?

I suspect the Michelin tires but am reluctant to spend $1000 on a new set of tires, particulary if they don't solve the problem.

(I also had a 1999 Toyota Camry with a similar problem and Michelin tires - dealer could not solve - problem dispappeared at 60000 Km when I put on new set of Bridgestone tires)

Does it pull to the right when in the left lane of the highway? It should pull to the left slightly due to the crown of the road (assuming the road is crowned). I would go to a Michelin tire shop to get their opinion.

So you have pulling issue and the dealer just started switching tires around with no change to the pull??

How about putting it up in the Alignment rack and check the Alignment first then go from there.

I had the same problem and the dealership put it on aligenment machine and it was ok..tires balanced ok..they said it was the curvement of the road....it's too sensitive

I have this feeling soon as I bought this car. I did alignment, it was a little off, but still in the green limits. Then I think it's sensitive steering, because it's a very light. Also maybe because it's front wheel drive so one shaft may be longer a little, so it's applied a little more torque.

Swap the tires left to right and see if anything changes. If it doesn't - it's not the tires.

I had the same problem with my 2008 that I took delivery of.

When I went in for my 1000 mile check up I made mention to the service advisor of the vehicle pulling to the right.

He informed me that there is a TSB about the problem and it took them about 4 hours to correct the problem.

The vehicle has not pulled to the right or left since then.

I had the same problem with our car, and a lot of other people I know first hand have also.

At the 5000 mile service for our car, I told them it was pulling to the right and that the alignment was out. When I picked the car up, they said one of the tires was low on air, and that they had fixed it. I drove about 100 yards away from the dealer before I turned around and drove right back. They had not fixed it. My problem was not with the fact that the car pulled, but that over time, the tires would wear prematurely and I'd get stuck replacing tires unnecessarily.

They claimed all kinds of things. Crown of the road, thats just how it is, all RXs are like that. I took the service manager out in one of the loaner RXs and was able to drive a long way down the road without touching the wheel. Finally they sent me out in our car with one of the service technicians driving; he admitted that the car needed an alignment. It fixed the problem.

Unfortunately the alignment warranty is only 12 months so you might end up having to pay for it yourself.

Thank you for all the responses to my concern on my RX 350 pulling to the right - seems others have had the same issue.

I will call my dealer to check on the alignment as well as ask if they are aware of the Service bulletin posted by Nad1370 - thanks especially for the link to the Service bulletin.

I would also lean towards and alignment issue. let us know what they find for the specs!!!
