Backup Camera
Drove a 2010 RX350 as a loaner the other day. One of the accessories was a backup camera that was integrated with the navigation system. Is it possible to retrofit my 2008 RX350 with a backup camera. If so what can I expect to pay? Anyone have any experience doing this?

I'm thinking you'll need to change out your stereo system with one that accepts the video feed. They also sell back up cameras with their own monitors/screens (just small screens, nothing too big). It just depends on how much you want to spend.
One other option is to get a rear view mirror (with a built in screen and accepts video input) then get the camera and hook it up. I'm sure a stereo shop can wire it up to turn on when put in reverse. Just throwing out ideas.

This is a recent thread from an owner who has made the installation with new stereo:

Anything can be done on your RX, just need the cash.
Seriously, a retrofit using Lexus components is exhorbitant in costs, it is just the way it is.
People end up upgrading to aftermarket to have a NAVI and back camera.

Just do aftermarket, it's going to be cheaper like Mandyfig said. The closest aftermarket
brand is Eclipse ( which is what some of the older factory nav uses ) Eclipse uses identical plug as toyota/lexus and their backup/backeye camera is almost identical of the OE factory backup camera. However it's going to be hard to get Eclipse product now since they just stop their production as of January.

Best to check out Ebay. There are kits you can get that includes the camera and a review mirror with a build in LCD screen for around $100
Also it is not hard to install. You can do it yourself
