Is there a way to read the odometer of a 2006 RX330 without putting the key in the ignition switch?

 

I don't think so. I'm sure there is some expensive dealer service department device like we had at Ford that can do so, but that device"NGS" New Generation Star Tester, was a very costly dealer handheld computer used by techinicians.

Can I ask why the question?

 

Why? Nothing extraordinary - just looking for a shortcut to read the odometer while the RX330 is parked in the garage. Fifteen years ago, this feature was available on the 1995Saab 900's. You could activate the odometer by pushing the odometer reset button when the ignition was off. My other car, a 2009 Subaru Forester, has the same feature, so I am surprised that Lexus does not have a way to do it.
