Does anyone know how to reprogram so the back liftgate can be opened faster from the remote.

Also how to cancel the two stage unlocking from the remote?

i am pretty sure that is a dealer only thing, they have to use there scan tool and change your settings.

i believe thre is a list out there as to what exactly can be altered.

 

I remember reading about certain settings available for the remote somewhere in the manuals (I think at the end).

 

If your RX is an '04, you must unlock the doors before opening the back, which I assume is the "two stage unlocking" procedure you refer to.
This was changed for subsequent years, probably due to complaints, but there is nothing that can be done to reprogram it for the '04. Cars for years newer than '04 are or can be set to open the back door even when the side doors are locked.

 

Incorrect. I had a 2004 RX and the Dealer reset the locking to single stage. Take it to your Dealer.
