Another follow-up on my Bridgestone Alenza's (235/55-18) which have just turned 25,000 miles. As I previously reported, handling and noise are still very good.

The real story continues to be that the treadwear is outstanding. Recall that these tires started life with 12/32nds tread depth and are now at 10/32nds. That's 2/32nds of wear for 25,000 miles. Same as before, I remain happy with the purchase.

It bears noting that the OEM Goodyears were in need of replacement at 25,000 miles.

I've been maintaining these tires at 32psi and rotating them every six months at my regular service interval. The treadwear is even at all points across the tire so my suspension components are holding up well. FWIW, I typically drive 80% highway and 20% city.

I still can't believe you managed to get 25k out of the Goodyears! I was only able to see about 18k, and they were getting dangerous at that mileage. Looks to me like when my Michelin's wear out (very soon), I'm switching to the Alenza's. Thanks for the input!

Mine was at 29K before I changed them out - I was being Frugal Anyway, the thing that convince me was one of our RARE winter storm occurrences here in the NW a few years back - I was sliding all over the place.

Hi guys, interesting posts on tires. I have a 2005 RX330 and got 50,000 miles out of the original Michelins, and have just replaced them with Michelin S8's from Costco, about $940 for 4 including taxes and fitting. I did think about the Bridgestones but I really like buying from Costco and they only had the Michelins.
