Seriously, every thing ... including the turn signal and radio ***** become heated in summer days out in the sun. You dont have to pay for that sort of upgrade .
We do get cold/ Just last week with in 24 hrs, we had a high of 80 and low of 31. It may not be "cold" by some standard but sure is uncomfortable to touch.

Thats when the cooled turn signal and radio ***** become handy
not much of a fan for the wood steering wheel either. after awhile you can feel the the wheel getting dirty. I feel like I'm cleaning the steering wheel every few days.

I know exactly what you mean... A friend of mine who has a BMW and an RX350 is using special driving gloves just to avoid getting his steering wheel dirty/sticky. You won't find him driving either of his cars without those gloves.
It's a bit extreme in my view - I just keep a box of micro-fiber cloth handy, get's back that clean feeling and no need for any liquids.

Yeah, I have plastic wrap all over my leather seats and the floor so I wouldnt get them dirty. My car also stays in my garage 24/7 so I dont get any dings or any engine wear
Got in my RX this morning when it was 13° in the garage. The steering wheel was chilly, but a pair of gloves took care of that. After driving with the heat on for a few miles I took the gloves off - too hot. I've *never* used the f@rt enhancer (seat warmer).
You folks might have an easier time with the cold if you made wine a part of your lives.

Oh boy here we go...
Just to be clear - mine is dirty as hell, it's winter out there after all - however I don't like the feeling of a dirty steering wheel.
Maybe you should wrap your steering wheel in plastic like my Grandma does Do they make a clear bra for the steering wheel? Maybe I can clear bra my whole car, hmmmmm.
Maybe its the old man in me, but on a long drive (like 7 or 8 hours) the heated steering wheel makes stiff hands feel fresh. Not to mention at -30*C, when you first get in the car, start up and switch on heated seats & steering wheel, so much nicer within seconds. This is all in our 740i though. Maybe its a European thing?
Have to agree about the gloves and keeping the steering wheel clean from "finger grease." My 2001 S2000's steering wheel is pristine and looks as good as when I bought it new. I also enjoy the feel of "leather on leather" when wearing driving gloves, better control.
If my new 400h has wood steering wheel, it will be gloves when driving 100%.
