Default LED Dome light? I'm sure its been asked

I am wondering if I could put LEDs in the dome light? I had a IS loaner with LED light and it was really cool. Also does anyone know how hard it would be?

Thanks

It is easy to do. They sell a lot of LED light replacement kits. I have a full set on my GS. There are all types. Single LED replacements that fit just like the original bulb, or LED boards with multiple LEDS. I myself have the LED boards. It comes with an adapter plug that fits whichever type of bulb socket you have, then plugs into the LED board. Some are your standard 194 LED bulb replacements. Either way, they make an LED replacement for pretty much all your automotive bulb types now days.

I have similar ones as those except I have the maximum LEDs you can fit within the light housing space. Mine are bright, but it is not a pure white as the white LED still has a slight blue hue to them. Anyway, you just need to be real careful prying off the plastic covers. Once you get the hang of it it is easy to remove, but the first time it can be pretty tight.

Do you have link to yours? And would you mind uploading a pic? The only other concern I have is will it get to hot and melt/set fire to my car

LED runs cooler than regular bulb, no need to worry about heat. I agree with CK6Speed, get the measurement of the dome housing and go on Ebay to find the largest on you can put in. They come in diff sizes, I had a 3X5 LED matrix in my other car.
