It looks absolutely cool.

Do you have the part number of the kit?

I agree , it looks really elegant on the Black RX and the mirror cover color matched with the body color

I did not do the installation. The internal part of the stock mirror cover had a part which holds the mirror and did not fit perfectly the first time the installer tried. Later he was able to use the stock part in the new mirror cover without any problems after some tries.

No worries there, go for it but my advise is to go with an installer.

More information from another thread about the anatomy of a mirror: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=298784

One thing I found out is this led mirror cover is wider by 1 or 2 inches than the current stock mirror cover to take care of the LED / wiring. So the mirror looks as if it is smaller than the LED mirror cover, but the functionality does not change.

One more thing the mechanic found out from the installation was there is an option on the current RX to enable closing/opening the mirror like on the new Mercs, with touch of a button provided you have the motor/ECU/button to do it. This option is available in Japan/EU markets

Now this is interesting! Anybody have an idea of how to get fold-in mirrors to operate? We have 2 garage doors and the Wife took out one of the mirrors on our previous car. This feature would be a real treat. Saw mirrors like this in Europe on a Renault taxi cab.
