Default Aftermarket wheels

I was just wondering if anyone has put aftermarket rims on a 2008 RX350? I am looking to do so but have been told that I can't because of the tire pressure monitoring system. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

While I can't speak for actual RX350 owners, I can't see why the TPM system will cause much of a problem. Well, actually it does make selecting rims more troublesome as the aftermarket rim barrel has be be able to accept the TPM valve stem. That said, many LS/GS/IS owners that use the newer valve stem TPM system have put on aftermarket rims. You do have to either remove the TPM valve stem from your original rims and mount them on the new rims, or buy another set of TPM valve stems to mount on the new rims and have them initialized or registered at the dealer. By that I mean the dealer needs to program the new TPM valve stems to your car so the TPM system recognizes it.

The TPMS cannot be disabled, but you can build a pvc pipe bomb for it.
