Default Nav Software - what's the difference?

Here on this site, I have read about different people and the version of software on there RX? What is the most updated version and what is the difference between them? What should have come with my 2007 RX 350AWD?

your 2007 RX should have came with the latest version of the nav software. Gen 5. updating it will ONLY change roads that have been modified. Nothing else, except for POIs.

Actually....its a bit more specific than that. "Generation 5" refers to the overall nav system, which has higher screen resolution and improved functionality from the previous versions on the RX. Gen 5 Nav was introduced in RX series with the 07 350.

I believe (might be wrong) that there are (2) versions of the Nav DVD out for the RX350. There is a version 5 and a version 6. The major difference appears to be the fact that in the latter ver6 disc, Lexus took away the override feature to get access to destination setting while moving. I run version 5 and use the override feature alot, and while I would like to have the newer map data that comes with ver6, I don't want to lose that cool feature.

I am sure others will outline more specific changes between the two DVD versions.
