Question How much discounts on RX350 AWD?

I've been looking at the '07 & '08 RX350 AWD at various Lexus dealers in IL and MO areas. Most are knocking $4k to $5k off the $46k sticker price ('07 w/ NAV) and around $2k off $46k sticker on the '08 (same type of option). Since the invoice on both '07 & '08 are around $38.5k for the above equipment w/ NAV, I would assume I can probably get the '07 down to at or near invoice especially when the '08s are out already. What's your experience so far on discounts from the Midwest dealers? Does Lexus currently have a year end model "kick-back" for the dealers on left-over models? Would the discounts be more if I custom-order a '08 with the exact equip I need thus saving the dealer any inventory overhead? Thanks.

Some people have reported getting $39,116 on the "typical" package, which has an MSRP of $45,706. I personally couldn't get them below $40k. We wound up going with a fully loaded demo (8k miles) for $44k including a 7yr/100k Platinum EPP. MSRP (without the EPP) was a few bucks under $50k, I forget the exact figure.

Default Woodfield Lexus

I bought the '07 AWD RX 350 w Navi MSRP $45,706 for $39,116 from Woodfield Lexus in Schaumburg, IL on Feb 26. This included a $500 savings from Lexus for visiting their booth at the chicago auto show; and the dealer had a special for Feb and they added a $500 discount of their own. I got the color of my choice, brand new with 11 miles on the odo. Call them, ask for James Hebinck and tell him my name- Rajeev Kumar- so that he can get the same deal for you! Good luck.

Default Got 2500 under invoice

Just picked mine up from Putnam Lexus in Northern California yesterday, got 2500 under invoice (but they have 495 advertising fees). I felt our trade was low even though it was a pristine 2003 Rx but we really don't have time to sell it ourselves. They said they don't want our trade (probably BS), and will go 2500 under with no trade. It has Premium Plus and MSRP was 43056 or something close to that.

Thumbs up

Let me apologize for not posting a response sooner--I was traveling. I do want to thank all of you for listing the discount and special thanks to Rajeev for telling me about Woodfield Lexus. I contacted him and he gave me the same price as you had paid. However, my wife changed her mind and wanted to wait for the new redesigned 2009 RX w/ 3-row seats. In fact he even quoted one w/o the NAV for $2000 less right at invoice.

OK you guys out in CA--how in the world do you get such great deals (paying below invoice) when the rest of us are lucky to even pay right at invoice? Is it because you guys have to pay such a high DMV license fee based on the value of your vehicle?

i think it has to do with supply and demand. out here everyone drives an rx and i think a lot of time the dealers get a lot of stock and cant move it fast enough. you should see what people are getting on IS250's.

Wow... I had no idea people were paying up to $2500 under invoice... How does the dealer make any money? The holdback can't be THAT much?!

Tell them about the new RX redesign that's coming next year or so, and threaten them with it while negotiating.
