HID Conversion KIT
hello everyone!
I'm planning to install the HID conversion kit to my new RX. I'm wondering if anyone had any problem with aftermarket kit :
'The kits will plug in and everything but its their
responsibility to do some research and make sure their
vehicles are compatible with an aftermarket HID kit.
Some vehicles' computers freak out when they dont see
that a normal bulb is attached and then it wont send a
signal to the ballast to fire up the HID. This
happened on a Dodge truck and a special harness had to
be ordered to trick the ecu. So just tell them to
check some forums and find out if others had installed
aftermarket HID kits with no problems or additional
harnesses to trick the ecu.
Thanks,

Yes, the RX could be had without HIDs. I've installed HID lights in other cars and had no problems. One thing to look out for is the polarity of the harness plug. Different cars use different polarity so if the kit doesn't work at first, you may have to just swap the polarity (Swap the plugs wires on the kit) and it should work.
