Default Auto Dimming Mirrors

Anybody having problems with the auto dimming mirrors on the RX 350 not dimming quickly enough or not staying dim for very long? Mine does this and the dealer says it's normal..............not good for night driving!

That's the way I thought they should be, the dealer is not doing their job on this. Thanks

Reusing this thread:
Can someone tell me how to disable the autodimming mirrors? The manual says there is a button on the rear view mirror. However, on my RX350, there is only one button and it just turns off the compass.

That button simply turns off the auto dimming feature, on my RX 350 any way, each time you start the engine you have to turn it off. There's only one button on the RX 350 as well.

There should be two, one for the mirror (far right) and one for the compass. I have these on my RX350.

I have one button only. I see the green light for autodimming. Not sure how to disable it.

Okay, I figured this out. Yes, I only have one button. However, it seems this button is the control for both the compass AND the mirror dim control. It's the good old Press and Hold method for controlling the mirrors. Press and hold for two seconds to enable and again to disable.

Great, glad you figured it out, I was wrong about the RX 350 though, there are two buttons, one for the mirror and one for the compass.

It seems some of the earlier models have two buttons. This is how it's written in the user manual. Perhaps the newer ones only have a single button now.

Mine is just over one month old, took delivery August 24th, came in from Japan the week before, so your 350 has only one button?

That's right...1 button. It's in the center, and there are two LED's on each side. I've only noticed the left one (green) when dimming is enabled. Otherwise, they're both off. I'll take a picture and post.

Here's my photo, a little blurry but two buttons and an indicator beside each one.
