Smile Lexus Pursuit Points

Well, I and my wife are happy with our RX350. I am even more happier with that 50,000 bonus point (worth $500 at dealer; parts, services & sales) toward my Lexus Visa card. Anyone owns a Lexus Visa card?

It's a cool card with a pretty good 1.5% back on general purchases and 5% at the dealer, but we have too many reward cards already (Citi Dividend and Amex Blue Cash, both offering 5% cash back on the big three-supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations-and 1% or 1.5% everything else). I prefer cash back cards to point cards.

I got one just before a bought my RX a couple weeks ago. The 50K points was an excellent deal! You can use your points towards maintenance or a future Lexus purchase, so you can't go wrong.

Yeah! For my understand, there is no limit for the points you can earn, but it expires in 6 years.

The Citibank card is being cut back to I believe 1 or 2% on gas, supermarket, drugstore purchases next month. But I still like the card.

Yes, I'm aware Citi is cutting back to 2% on the big three and adding two other categories (convenience stores and utilities including cable) to qualify for the 2% back. I'm going to use the Dividend card until that happens and start using Blue Cash exclusively as it still pays 5% on the big three (at least in the highest tier). I also have the Amex/Costco TrueEarnings card that pays 3% on eating out and 2% on travels.

Default Lexus Pursuit Promotional Points

Besides the 50,000 promotional points for purchasing a Lexus, Lexus Financial will also let you charge up to $10,000 on the new vehicle, so that adds another 50,000 points - kind of like getting an additional $1,000 off - pretty good!

I agree - I use other cards as well, but it was worth getting one of these just for the purchase.

And - you get 5000 points for the first use, so it's really $1050 when you buy the new vehicle.

When I spoke with the lady at Lexus Visa Card on the phone, I don't think she said there is a limit on charging the card. I only charged it for $3000. Maybe I need to read their policy again. And I will probably redeem the points toward service.

Do I get the bonus 50k points when I buy a CPO car at a Lexus dealer, or is it only on new cars?

As I recall, they only ask the date of purchase, the VIN and the dealer name you purchased it from.

Only for purchase of any new Lexus vehicles (from IS to LX) between now to 10/18/06 (I am sure that's the day). 50,000 bonus points will be added to your Lexus Visa account. Or 60,000 bonus points for new RX400h. I believe "new" means never registered before, so it could be a demo. Just call and ask.

Your dealer (F&I dept) should have the info. But mine didn't know anything about this promotion???? I simply called the Lexus Visa Card, gave them the VIN and answered few survey questions. It takes up to 8-10 weeks to credit the points.

Anyone received the points? I called on 8/15 and registered my new RX350, haven't seen the points on my account yet.

I called a week after I received my RX350 in September. The lady told it may takes to 8 to 10 weeks to see the points. I would keep an eye on the next monthly statement or two. However, I already saw the points from my $3000 down payment transaction ($1 = 5 points at dealer, now is 15000 points).

The 50,000 points appeared on my very first statement. I bought mine in Aug and it was on the Sep statement.

Default Please Clarify...

Again, Sorry..I'm new to all this but with a vehicle that will cost this much, I want to make sure I take advantage of deals like this, and not mess up somehow....So, thanks in advance for the clairification.

In anticipation of my purchase later this month, (Vehicle in transit, estimated to arrive 10-20 to 10-25) I opened my Lexus Pursuits Visa today. The dealer called moments later to say they anticipate the RX350 in early....today or tommorrow!

My questions are:

1) Can I still use the card for a down payment if I don't have the actual card yet?

2) If I pay off the balance on the first billing, do I still get the points?

3) Is it true then, buying the vehicle will bring me 500.00 worth of Credit @ Lexus, and whatever amount I charge towards the car will be credited in additional points at 5%? ($5000.00 = $250.00 dollars worth of credit)

Thanks again everyone! I may have my new vehicle this weekend!
