on my 06 RX330 I have noticed that at night when I am driving the the AFS that the drivers side moves about 10X more than the passenger side. Passangers riding with me have noticed the same thing, I assume this is not normal or is it?

 

15 degrees to the left and 5 degrees to the right.

 

I'm not sure exactly why the manufacturers are turning the driver side (left side when inside facing forward) more then the passenger side. I really like the adaptive lighting, but would like to see the right side turn more and the system to work at speeds lower then 20 MPH. When driving home I have a number of small turns going into the hills and it would be great to get that extra light to see any animals which may be in the road.

Yep, 15-left 5-right. I don't get this, because normally on bends, right turns are narrower and you need the lights to turn the right more.

 

If I have to speculate, you don't want too much light directed away from incoming traffic on your left, hence only five degrees to the right.
