Just picked up my new 07 rx 350 last week and noticed that the mpg indicator on the info screen (nav version) acts kind of weird . It seems to be working correctly beween 0 and 30 mpg but when it trys to indicate anything over 30mpg it seems to flicker to about 60mpg and then back to 30mpg. I had an 04 rx so I know that coasting downhill it should display 40-50-60+ mpg but the bar indicator seems kind of off. Is this just my vehicle or are all of them doing this. I know this is a minor thing but if it is not working correctly I think I will have it fixed.

One other defect I have found (if the above is an actual defect)is the seat belt is frayed in the back seat. Looks like the theading was cut by a knife or something. Have you guys found any defects on your new rx? I think the only defect I found on my 04 after delivery was the transmisson shift was a little rough. I am not sure you can call that a defect but I had the transmission update done.

Overall I think the 07 is a big improvement over my 04. It is smoother, faster, and quieter. I also got the nav on this one, which I did not have on the 04 and I am enjoying it so far. Any input on the mpg indicator would be appreciated.

I get the same flicking on the mpg indicator. Not sure I'd call it a defect, as it's not supposed to be 100% accurate.

I'll check the seat belts.
