Default RX 350 Towing

Can someone tell me if they increased the towing capacity (above 3500 pounds) on the RX 350 and if they now have provisions to connect an electric brake controller for trailers.

Thanks,

I did not know, but 90 seconds and Google shows me that the towing specs for the 07 RX350 is still 3500 lbs.

You should check out that Google thing.

Welcome back to CL, izi!

Trailer brake controllers are probably best installed by experienced trailering people who can help set up and balance the electric brakes. I don't think towing anything over 3500# with an RX would be wise - it's not a power or braking issue, but a stability issue. Especially if you will be towing at highway speeds or on significant grades, the RX is too small and light for heavy Class III or IV towing duty. The last thing you want is to be running downhill with the trailer driving YOU! If you are pulling a heavy boat or a camper, you might be happier with a primary tow vehicle with a full frame, like a Suburban or Expedition.

Just my 2¢
