hello there, can somebody confirm that the USA modell of the RX350 has auto recirculation mode with smog sensor? i have seen this feature on the lexus.com website and it may be a mistake since the european version does not have this important feature. competitors AND the small IS have this feature, but it seems not the new vintage? RX350. if it does not have, maybe there is a chance to reprogram something or add a sensor? please let me know if the RX350 has this! thanks, george/stuttgart

 

According to Lexus web site, this neat feature is applied on the RX350. You are right, Lexus implemented in IS first last year. So far, I have not found ONE innovative or market leading feature that Lexus chooses to introduce on the RX350. I would love to be proven wrong but Lexus has not put state-of-the-art products in its portfolio into RX350: engine (2GR-FE instead of IS/GS's 2GR-FSE), transmission (old 5 speeder that force the owner to change ATF every 15K), drivetrain (heavily FWD biased), even gadget such as keyless Start(IS). RX350 is a market following model that reaps hugely on Lexus' brand appeal, reliability, and service. Yes, these are indeed nice but how many more people will buy the RX had Lexus decided to offer some innovative features?
