It's hard to believe they're going to knock $5000 off MSRP before the model even hits the showroom floor. Is that really the deal, or is it $500 over some higher number that the dealer claims is invoice price?

who is your dealer? my husband's birthday is next weekend and i'm getting ready to buy rx330 w/ nav fwd, best price i'm getting from my dealer here in no. cal. is $38.5 plus taxes and fees. my salesguy is still looking for black w/tan interior which is waht hubby wants and that's holding it up. now i'm thinking i can probably do better with the price, or should i wait for the 350 now? curious...what is invoice for the 350? thanks!

Someone posted at one point that the 350 will cost list for about $700 more than the 330. The RX has always been pretty consistent around a $5,500 difference between MSRP and invoice.
Since the dealers have to be looking to get rid of 330's, you're going to pay less for a 330 than you would for a 350. The question is how much less, and that's going to be up to the dealer. I would think the difference would be in the neighborhood of $2500 or more, as people are talking about 330's selling over $1000 below invoice, and b1gredek is $500 over invoice on a 350. Most dealers are going to want a lot more than $500 over invoice on the 350, and invoice on the 350 is presumably $700 higher than the 330.
So, you'll have to decide if the features of the 350 and the fact that it's a 2007 model are worth the price difference to you.

A little disappointed
Why no power folding mirrors? How about the backup parking guidance? I know the latter has something to do with too many lawyers in this country, but no folding mirrors for a luxury SUV this size?

We've never had any requests for folding mirrors..

My real question is, if the folding mirror is available in Japan for the RX/ Toyota Harrier, why not in the states?
Even the A4 and the 3 series, which are narrower than the RX, have folding mirrors.

The main advantage to fold in mirrors is .....
getting through a tight squeeze...On sedans they protect the mirrors when parked from getting knocked around. We have them on the LS and GS and not the IS or ES. The GX could really use them but the feature is not a top priority on the remaining models. The exterior mirror has gotten to be expensive with heating elements, auto dimming, tilt down motor and now auto retraction. Underneath you have the puddle lamps on the LS, GS, and IS. The Harrier has a cool turn signal built in that I also like. These are all nice ideas along with the built in mirror memory. To replace a mirror housing now with original parts can be over $500. I can see why the auto fold back would help protect your investment. It's just that a lot of people never use all the features that the engineers can cook up.
