updated navigation dvd

I have a 2002 RX300. On recent trip to Nova Scotia it showed no roads and the Atlantic ocean where Halifax was located. Where do I get a replacement and Can I install it myself?

$300 later u can put it in takes a whole 5 min to put it in

Does the navigation DVD only contain updated map & destination data or does it also act as a firmware upgrade and update the nav system? Also, are all previous settings & user-entered information maintained?
