Default Removing trunk silver trim?

Anyone know how to remove this silver trim?

The chrome piece below the rear "L" and above the license plate. Thanks!

First you must remove the mid section cover on the inside of the hatch. This is the hard plastic section. It is just clipped in so you will need to pry it out. Try grabbing from the edge at one side and pulling out it should "pop". Once started you should be able to continue to the other side "popping" out the remaining clips.

The trim piece is held on by 5 nuts (see below) and one clip. You will need to remove the nuts from the inside of the hatch. The trim should then just pull out with the remaining clip.

Overall a pretty simple procedure. Why do you want to remove it?

Default RX300 Lift Trim

Does my strip above the plate come off the same way ythis one does? Looks like a similar mounting.

The RX300 strip is not chrome, though- It's matched to body color.
