Anyone notice how quiet the ML CD changer is??

Previous to my RX330, I had an IS200 and let me tell you there was so much noise when changing CD's. There was a complete thumping/clunking noise everytime I would change CD's which was normal.. I'm sure all you IS300 owners in the US know what i am talking about

I am in awe in just how quiet the CD changer is in the RX330.

Anyone know, what exactly constitutes the ML components? I know that the speakers are. But are the radio tuner, CD changer etc all ML??

My non-ML RX330's CD changer is pretty quiet, I guess, as compared to my old IS. I'm just hoping it doesn't die again! (3 changes in the IS, once in the RX).

 

I had a 2000 IS200. I must have been one of the luck ones cause it never broke down once. People I knew said they had to get their ones replaced.

Looks like Lexus upgraded the CD changer regardless of whether ML or not.

 

ML adds 3 speakers on top of the dash (left, center, right) and changes the amplifier.

The control head, the CD changer, and the other 8 speakers are the same as the standard system.
