Search seems to be down for Club Lexus, so here's a question. Anyone remove their luggage rack to reduce wind noise? I'd never use the beast anyway, and I saw a picture of a modded RX330 with out the rack... Looked clean. I paid my $10 to the Toyota site, but never found any info on the rack. (But I did get info on the radio, which is what I really wanted.)

If you remove the cross bars and the length-wise rails, are there pre-fabricated plates to put in the place of the rails, where they mount to the car?

I removed only the cross rails on my 05 RX the second day I had the car. I think it cut down on wind noise and wind resistance.
