2005 RX330 recycle air flow button?
I noticed that on my RX330 when I put the temperature all the way down to "Lo" (No A/C) and turn the fan off and turn it back on again, the recycling air flow button lights up automatically. Do all of you have the same issue?
Thanks!
Thanks!
What button do you press to turn it back on?
If the system is going into "Auto" mode, then "lo" will turn on the A/C and try to fulfill your request for max cold air quickly by cooling and recirculating the inside air. That's what you're supposed to do with a manual system if you want to cool the car as fast as possible; the idea is to keep cooling air that you've already cooled, rather than bringing in more hot air. Depending on the difference between the outside and the inside temperatures, it will turn on recirculating mode at any setting, and not just "lo".
Since you didn't ask for recirculating mode, it will automatically turn it off once the inside temp reaches a managable level. If you set the thermostat to something other than "lo", it would turn it off once the inside gets close to the set temperature.

I think regardless of the temp or a/c or vent, the "fresh" mode automatically comes on. Everytime I turn on my a/c, it's on recircualte but will eventually change to fresh. So, I always press the button twice so it doesn't switch to fresh.
I do not press the A/C button at all. This is all fresh air coming into the cabin.
All I do is press the down arrow on the temp setting to show 'LO" then press the off button. Then, I press the right arrow button for the fan to kick in (turn it back on). That's when I notice the recirculate button lit up. Is this normal? You guys/gals have the same thing?
