I have noticed that my 05 RX330 has some wind/road noise coming from the driver door window. I noticed that if I roll the window down slightly the noise is gone. It appears that the window is flexing the weather stripping when it closes. Perhaps it is closing too tightly? Anyway several weeks ago I came across a thread in this forum that contained the same issue. I cannot locate the thread. I would appreciate anyone who could direct me to that thread or who may have had this same problem with a successful resolution.

There isn't a TSIB for this problem, but based on the discussion from the prior thread it sounds like a well-known issue.

You're correct about the details of the problem. Full closure of the window causes the rubber seal to move slightly out of place in the track in the door, causing the air leak and the noise.

The dealer should be able to repalce the rubber seal with one made from a new design.

 

I had this exact problem in my 04 and the seal is not the fix!!!

The fix is they have to take the door panels off and bend or align some tab in there! Whatever they did to mine, its fixed now....BOTH windows

Yes I had he seal replaced first (new updated part number) and it didnt do Squat......
