Default Rx 330 ML/Nav w/o RSES

Anyone got a RX330 ML/Nav package w/o RSES. I'm interested in ML/Nav package. But dealer says RX 330 with ML/Nav only comes with RSES. Is this true?? I have no use for RSES and don't think ML stereo system is worth $3000 extra including the RSES. How are the stock pioneer stereo?? Want size speakers are they?? thanks for info? If stock is good. I'll settle for premium plus with nav and save over $3000. inputs please. thanks alex

Yes...I've got ML and Nav without RSES.
Last summer, one of the "standard" builds for the Midwest region was VN (Premium Plus, Nav, and ML package), HH (Variable Heated Seats & Sensing Wipers), TO (Towing Pkg), and FT (18" wheels). The other build with Nav had all of that plus RSES.

Package VN was the only way to get Nav at the time; they didn't offer PT / NV as a combination in my area without a factory special order.

I'm sure others will disagree, but personally, I could live without the ML audio upgrade. I admit, I'm not an audiophile. I was very satisfied with the standard stereo system in my RX300's. The only obvious features I'm aware of that are unique to the ML are 210 watt output (as opposed to 132) and 3 extra speakers. Many other features, like automatic sound leveling (it adjusts the volume based on ambient road noise) and the in-dash CD changer, are available on both systems. I'm sure Mark Levinson includes some additional engineering and considers some of the unique audio challenges created by an automobile interior, but I'm not convinced it's worth the notable cost difference ($1000). I'd be more inclined to pay the extra money if it included more practical features, such as MP3 support or an aux input.

At the present time the New RX330 does not offer ML without the RES. To get ML you have to pay like $3000. I wouldn't, I would rather invest into a better aftermarket stereo component system. My cousin is helping me get a new RX330 for my wife real soon. He's giving me the FWD Premuim Plus Package with Nav for $38,186 plus taxes. My wife is gonna love this car. I am trading in her 2001 ES300.

thanks for all your inputs,

venom,
Is that the best price you have gotten? I think we are going to get one like that also, We other options are on that car? We got price a FWD Premium plus, nav, 18inch alloy, heat seats, rains sens wipers, msrp 42,788. dealer gave us 39,600. We take it if it's your price. Dealer said they can special order one w/o RES, but will only discount $2000 off msrp.

yah, $3000 is alot for ML system. I'll get a new HDTV with that. LOL

Anyone dislike their stock non-levinson sound system??

Most people, probably 90% or more, are completely satisfied with the stock system and you don't see too many complaints on this board. You just have to go with what your own ears are telling you - some listeners are more demanding than others and are willing to pay a large premium to get the best possible sound in their cars. I rate the sound as acceptable but I wish it had a little tighter bass and more presence up front. The addition of a front center speaker would certainly help. But it doesn't bother my wife or I nearly enought to pay the large extra premium for the Levinson system, so I guess we're not in that other 10% (although the new HDTV set that should arrive on Saturday did cost a lot more than $3000, so it's just a matter of priorities I guess!).

The one that I'm getting is the Premuim Plus Package with Navigation System. It includes 18" rims, H.I.D, Power lift gate, Rear Backup Camera, indash cd changer, roof rails, moonroof, leather, tow package, floor mat and wheel locks. Yea this is the best price I have gotten. Truthfully I dislike ML, my dad has it in his SC430 and it sounds like any common stereo. My cousin works with Lexus so they only marked it up $500 over invoice which is a hella good deal. If you are interested pm me your phone number and I will have him call you. Where are you located?
