Default Lumbar repair - RX330

RX330 172K miles
Symptoms - lumbar in drivers seat not functioning

Test -
Raise the drivers seat and put seatback as far forward as possible
Reach underneath there are two elastic straps unhook them so the bottom leather flap can lift up
Behind the leather flap you'll see two phillips head screws very low facing upwards going into white nylon remove those screws then pull down on the seat back to remove it, set it aside
You'll see the lumbar bar going across the seat with the motor attached to the right side.
Unhook the leather nylon clips on the right side of the seat to allow access to ttwo small black screws holding the motor in place
Peel back the leather a bit as well as the foam to expose the two small black screws holding in the motor, remove those screws now you can move the motor around
Disconnct the white clip at the bottom of the motor. Put a voltmeter to white connector and press the lumbar switch in both directions, if you have power going to the motor than your issue is the motor itself as was my case

Removal of old motor assembly
Knowing the motor was not good I had to jimmy the motor towards the bottom of the seat back in order for the leftside to come out of the bushing then allow for the motor with the bar to get clearence to be removed

Sourced the motor and assembly at Pick-a-Part
I plugged the new motor and assembly into the while connector before installing it to make sure it worked, it did

Installing - reverse order > Shove motor into right side of seat back and low > line up the bar into the bushing on the left side > plug in white connector at bottom of motor > position motor on right side where it belongs and secure with the small two black screws that hold it > test to make sure t all work before buttining up (this can be done with the car off and key out just hit the lumbar button both directions). Snap leather side nylon pieces back in . reinstall seat back

Total time about 1 hour
Total cost - the motor and lumbar rod assembly AND a cruise control stalk at Pick-a-Part ran me $10
