Default Anti-Theft Disabled? Ignition Kill?

I was wondering if anyone has the same issue as me currently. A couple days ago, went to put key in ignition. Dashboard lit up as normal but when I tried to crank, the engine does not turn. Then all power is cut to the car like a completely dead battery. Toggle my key a few times between on/off and the car was able to start. This morning, the same problem happened and toggling the key doesn't work anymore. I tried to disconnect the battery to reset, but this tripped the alarm system before I could even take out the negative terminal. When the alarm was sounding, I put the key in the ignition and was able to get the car to start. Drove the car around the block and turned off the car. When I re-insert my key into the ignition, same issue. Completely dead. My key is a little lose so I replaced battery and epoxied it until I can find another solution. Feels like something is tripping the anti-theft deterrent system, but doesn't know where to start and troubleshoot. Any thoughts on what's going on?

The anti-theft disables fuel or ignition, but the car will still crank so its not that. There is a very good post here about how the anti-theft works, flashing green lights etc.

Likely need a new 12V car battery, or starter worn out(brushes, solenoid), bad ground or hot wires to car battery etc, I would look into those.

Start simple, does jumping make it work? Sometimes a bad enough 12V battery can even prevent that from working.

And for pets sake, always include the model, engine, year and miles, it just helps...

UPDATE - Removed both battery cables and reinstalled. All power came back and car started fine. Not sure what's going on.
