Okay have done a decent cleaning, removed all the gasket materials. I heated up the Valve stem seal area for over 30 mins & was around 188F got the seal ring frozen for about 4 hours. Tapped it with a Bearing seal racer. It seem to have seated really well(Cyl Close to the blue racer, the middle cyl bottom right). All new parts are ready to go back in but just taking it slow. One thing i am stumped at though, not related to this work !! I randomly used my magnetic pick tool on intake valve & it sticks, but using it on exhaust valve both at the valve end or shaft end it doesnt stick.. isnt that weird.? I am totally stumped. Anyone know why ?

I just put the new valve stem seals in today, not sure if its supposed to turn freely (by hand). I had to gently push by the bearing racer tool as it was quite tight. I could not turn it by hand. Can someone pitch it if this is normal.? The valve springs just sit around it so hopefully doesnt really matter ?

Finished with all the engine work, replaced new valve, all new stem seals, springs in that bank, New HG, Timing cover sealed with Fipg, New coils, plugs for all cylinders going in, soldered new clip ends for the coils. Just dbl checking, the green circled hose from (the intake-PCV) goes in to the air box right?

Hello, Anyone chime in whats the torque spec for the long bolts for the engine to subframe & body.? I have mix results, my haynes says 133ft lbs. But online have seen somewhere like 85ft lbs. These are 10.9 grade long bolts. The smaller ones that go on the triangle brackets are 24ft lbs i blv. Appreciate.

I've attached a PDF for the engine which includes all the torque specs. I think the ones you want are on page 75. Good luck.

I Bought a Haynes manual when I first got my car.

It was so wrong in so many places and the pics were so useless, I wondered if it was really for my car.

It was that pathetic.
Better off throwing it in the trash and signing up for Club Lexus and make new friends as a bonus! Lol

Finally put back everything, Started the truck. At first it ran great without any CEL, then had P0057 for O2sensor B2S2. Turned off & restarted now again the Cyl 3 misfire resurfaced. Its got all new Denso coils. NGK plugs, Bent valve replaced with new. Valve seat reseated, all new stem seals. I am stumbled. I am starting to wonder if the whole situation started due to bad wire at cyl 3 that lead to the bent valve that may still be showing up again. Any thoughts appreciated.

Don't see how a bad wire could cause a bent valve. New parts can be defective. I would just start at the top diagnosing a misfire. Swap coils and plugs, do a compression check, look at short and long term fuel trims etc. Be sure to clear codes between tests. Sounds like you are close, don't panic!

Just about to take apart for a compression test, what i realize is the misfire isnt present upon idle, comes only when accelerated that too only on cyl3.
