Unhappy Performance package = 2WD ONLY?

I was thinkking of getting an RX330) with performance package thinking that it is available as AWD. However the dealer said it is not made that way. How true is this?

Response will be greatly appreiciated.

your header asks about the premium package and your post asks about the performance. you might want to clarrify.

either way, you "should" be able to get either in FWD or AWD. I say should because Lexus offers different packages in different parts of the country. But at least here in S. CA you can get the premium package on both models as well as the performance package. What you can't get (at least not without special ordering) is both.

To the best of my knowledge (like that's worth much), the only package you can't get in the AWD version that you can in the FWD is the skyroof or big moonroof package. I was told this was because of weight or some nonsense but nobody in S. CA seems to be able to get an AWD with the big ol moonroof.

I stand corrected ( I have edited my post). I was in a hurry and I knew I typed something wrong. Thanks for the answer.

Has anyone else have more in info about the matter?

Here in Minnesota ALL RX330's come with AWD, Performance Pkg or not, unless you were to place a special order for a 2WD vehicle. We have the AWD/Performance Pkg combination, which would have been available off the lot had we not wanted the Navigation option. In our area at least, the addition of NAV required us to place a special order, for which we waited approximately 2 1/2 months to arrive.

So to answer your question, Performance Pkg vehicles ARE certainly available in an AWD configuration, but in your area it appears that to get one it would require a special order, in which case you should be able to obtain just about any combination of options (and exterior/interior color) that you want.

You may want to first check with the next closest dealer in your area to see what they have to say. And if needed maybe your local dealer can make a trade with another dealer in your zone.
