If rain and moonroof rx is open and car is stationary will it leak through?

Just got a rain first time, yes it dribbles in

 

I assume you don't mean completely open, but just the "tilt" function, right? Yeah, it will get in there, and also will get water where you don't want it on mechanisms and such depending upon the direction and severity of the rain.

hoped there might be a clever drainage but no
lucky moonroof autolocks itself by a signal from pandora alarm

 

there are two drains towards the front of hte moonroof - one on each side. The water goes down through tubes and exits under the vehicle. Hopefully it all went that way.
