Default Wipers

Wipers motor started while idling and can't be turned off. Have searched Forums without success.

This seems bizarre. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a fuse for the wipers, if so you could pull it out to make them stop. That would give you time to figure it out.

You know, it sounded like a stuck relay to me, so I went out to my garage and looked at my 99RX's relay and fuse box under the hood. I found no relay for the wiper motor. My suspicion is that the wiper motor is bad, but it's just a guess. Let us know what you find out

Wiper control is self contained in the stalk try disconnecting it. Warning: If you remove the airbag don't power up the car with it disconnected or you'll trigger the SRS light.

On the ES300 of this generation the column cover can be removed without removing the steering wheel via turning the wheel to access screws maybe the RX is the same.

I think you're right, it's the in the stalk. A quick look on RockAuto identified the stalk assembly, probably a relay in there.
